The myAIRVO™ 2 Humidified High Flow Therapy System by Fisher & Paykel is ideal for spontaneously breathing patients (COPD, chronic but stable) and replaces the need for bulky heavy air compressors.
The design of the myAIRVO™ 2 is focused on portability and practicality. Weighing in at just 4.8 pounds or 2.2 kilograms, you can take the myAIRVO™ 2 just about anywhere. The AirSpiral™ Tubing is another feature which customers love which addresses the cumbersome issue of condensation. The AirSpiral™ Tube has 2 spiral elements. The first is a heated spiral that warms the air as it passes through. The second spiral insulates. These two elements that work in conjunction with each other help to keep the air at a constant temperature from start all the way to the user with no variation. This in turn eliminates the cold drips and gurgling most other high flow and oxygen concentrator uses have due to condensation buildup.
The myAIRVO™ 2 also offers a variety of delivery methods for both pediatric and adult use. These include: Optiflow™ Junior interfaces, Infant Nasal Cannula, Pediatric Nasal Cannula. And for adults: Nasal Cannulas, Tracheostomy Interface, or Mask Interface Adapter. This device offers a high flow nasal cannula flow rate (10-60 L/min).
The myAIRVO™ 2 also supports smartphone connectivity when you install the myAIRVO™ 2 smartapp which supports both Google and Apple devices. This app provides a simulation interface for the myAIRVO™ 2 as well as providing video tutorials to help you learn the operation of the device quicker and easier, and giving you the ability to change device settings on the fly.

A: No. You can add an oxygen bleed but the main focus of the myAIRVO™ 2 is humidified air delivered via nasal cannulas, tracheostomy interfaces, or a mask interface with minimal amounts of pressure.
