A: Ameda recommends as needed or if you have noticed a loss of suction in breast pump performance. To maintain optimal breast pump performance, we recommend that you change these parts every 8-12 weeks depending on the part condition to keep your Ameda breast pump running optimally, especially if the breast pump is being used more than once daily.
Q: Can I clean my Ameda breast pump parts in the dishwasher?
A: Yes you can. However, we recommend this only for the larger pieces of your Ameda breast pump and by using the top rack. The smaller parts or components should still be washed by hand in hot, soapy water as the smaller parts may be lost or get damaged in the dishwasher. A: Yes they do. To dry these parts properly, Place the pieces neatly on a clean paper towel or in a clean drying rack and allow them to air dry. Avoid using cloth towels to dry your pump parts because they can carry germs and bacteria that are harmful to your breast milk and your baby. Once the pump parts are dry, assemble the pump before you store it or use it.
